Three-Stage Filtration Process
Stage 1 – Doulton Sterasyl® Ceramic Cartridge (Made in UK): The first stage involves a Doulton Sterasyl® ceramic cartridge, which performs sub-micron filtration to reduce particulate matter, bacteria, cysts, and turbidity. The ceramic shell integrates silver to provide enhanced bacteriostatic properties and self-sterilizing capabilities, ensuring high-quality water purification.
Stage 2 – Fluoride Filter Cartridge (Made in USA): Utilizing a media made from crystalline corundum, the same mineral that constitutes rubies and sapphires, this stage effectively removes fluoride through a process called 'selective adsorption.' Fluoride ions are captured by binding to the media's oxidized surface. This filter boasts a vast surface area of 200 square meters per gram, maximizing its filtration capacity.
Stage 3 – Carbon Block Filter Cartridge (Made in USA): The final stage employs an Omnipure Superblock 9" OMB9ML (OMB-834ML) 1 micron absolute carbon block cartridge, which excels at eliminating undesirable tastes, odors, chemicals, and other substances.
